Alfred AppleMac OSX Productivity Tool

Alfred is a mac os productivity tool – sorry windows and ubuntu user – with a mouseless experience, keep your hands on the keyboard and we will be more productive, or so the idea goes.

Most of the features of alfred are bound into the extra-cost power-package. Ok, it’s not too dear at £15, so i may buy it later. It looks to offer a short cut path to our most used digital assets. With alfred extensions, other functionality becomes available from the user community.

Once installed (see links below) this tool offers a quick way to become more productive. A combination of keystrokes brings the alfred window up. By default, the alt+space bar does this.  Then type one or two characters to bring up an autocomplete list of possibilities and bang the enter key to take it.

Here is a super tut from Jeffrey Way. This tut shows us how to build a boiler-plate set of folders and necessary css and javascript resources for a typical web designer project : Tutorial
